RAINBOW STYLIN'
Summer in New York is a glorious event. For those of us who have continued our roles as pedestrians through the gloomy months of winter, we know summer as a celebration free of dirty street snow and chapped lips. It means a new season for making friends on our daily travels because you can walk with your head up knowing your eyeballs won't ice over-but mostly summer is inspiration- that there is a reason you've endured- A meaning to living in this big, rude, dirty city.
So, just like the uplifting feeling summer stirs inside each of us here- i would like to dedicate this summer 2009 mix as a bit of inspiration to all of us affected by California's recent display of selfishness and stupidity. A state that is supposed to symbolize sun, surf and a liberal attitude- a place where i, myself grew up- you have let a lot of people down, California.
But with the cold comes the warmth. So keep your heads up.
